MOTIVASI ORANG TUA MEMILIH SEKOLAH BERBASIS AGAMA DI ERA 4.0: STUDI PADA MA WAHID HASYIM BANGIL

Abstract

In light of the rapid development and advancement of science and technology in the current era, Islamic religious education is increasingly needed to strengthen individuals’ spiritual, moral, and ethical foundations. Therefore, it is important to understand the patterns of parental motivation in the 4.0 era when choosing religious-based schools for their children. The objectives of this study are to identify the motivations of parents in the 4.0 era in choosing MA Wahid Hasyim Bangil and to examine the factors influencing their decision to enroll their children in a religious-based school.This research was conducted at MA Wahid Hasyim Bangil using a qualitative research approach, which aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth description of social reality. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to students. The findings indicate that parents in the 4.0 era choose MA Wahid Hasyim Bangil because the school meets some of their expectations. The school not only provides general education but also integrates religious education into its curriculum. The factors influencing parents’ decision to enroll their children in MA Wahid Hasyim Bangil include the school’s ability to integrate general and religious subjects effectively.
