IMPLEMENTASI TARI MANGUN DUSUN SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGENALAN BUDAYA LOKAL DI SEKOLAH

Abstrak

The current problem is that students' interest in local culture in Indonesia is still lacking, the decline in interest in culture is influenced by the development of a very dynamic era and the entry of foreign cultures that attract the attention of students more than local culture. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the typical dance of the Musi Rawas region, namely the Mangun Dusun Dance which is a local dance that is still rarely known by the general public. The method used in this study is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. The results showed that the application of Mangun Dusun dance as an effort to introduce local culture in Muara Kelingi Pembina State Kindergarten began with an understanding of dance song lyrics and practicing dance structures based on presentation including theme, number of dancers, dance accompaniment, movement, and duration of performance. Then the implementation of traditional Mangun Dusun dance can foster motoric, cognitive, and loving attitudes of the homeland through one's own culture. The character of love for the homeland is reflected by students with a proud attitude towards what the Indonesian people have, one of which is traditional dance.
