In the learning process, teachers play a key role in determining strategies, methods, and techniques to ensure effective learning. However, many teachers still use traditional and monotonous teaching methods, causing students to become less active, less motivated, and have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts that are abstract, deductive, and symbolic. Therefore, innovative teaching strategies are needed to encourage active participation and develop students’ critical thinking skills. One approach is Jerome S. Bruner’s learning theory, which uses enactive, iconic, and symbolic representations to support discovery learning. This approach helps students understand concepts gradually, from concrete to abstract ideas. This study uses a qualitative literature review method by examining journal articles and relevant books. The findings show that applying Bruner’s theory in mathematics education can increase learning motivation, conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and systematic problem-solving abilities.
Khai Runnisa, Apria Rahmadhani, Nisrina Ath Thahirah, Wulan Agustin, Nazaha Rama Khairani, Dini Palupi Putri Copyright (c) 2026 Ibtidaiyah: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pendidikan Dasar Islam https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1055 Sat, 01 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Peran Guru Dalam Membentuk Akhlakul Karimah Peserta Didik di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah El Fajr Palembang https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1001
The decline in moral behavior among elementary school students is a serious challenge in the world of education, especially in the madrasa environment. As traditional educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools are currently facing various new challenges in meeting the needs of multigenerational students who have different learning styles. This study aims to evaluate innovations in fiqh learning using artificial intelligence, especially for multigenerational students at Pondok Pesantren Darul Hidayah Madani. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of artificial intelligence-based fiqh learning can improve students' understanding, increase learning motivation, and meet the educational needs of students from different generations. This innovation includes the implementation of fiqh chatbots, the use of AI-supported interactive learning media, automated learning evaluation systems, and personalized learning methods. The implementation of this innovation continues to maintain the values of Islamic boarding schools and strengthens students' understanding of fiqh in a relevant and practical manner.

Keywords: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Fiqh Learning, Islamic Boarding School, Multigenerational Students, Educational Innovation
Dilla Anggela, Dimas Putra Andika Copyright (c) 2026 Ibtidaiyah: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pendidikan Dasar Islam https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1023 Sat, 01 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Pengembangan Media Buku Pintar untuk Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Kelas III MI Al-Madina Prambanan https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1081
One of the causes of low student engagement in learning at MI Al Madina Prambanan is the lack of variation in the learning media used, particularly in Arabic language instruction. Therefore, appropriate learning media are needed to make the learning process more enjoyable, one of which is by developing the “Smart Arabic Book” as a learning medium.

This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation). The research subjects included media experts, material experts, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the feasibility of the Smart Arabic Book learning media was determined based on the following evaluations: media experts gave an average score of 3 with a feasibility percentage of 75%; material experts gave an average score of 3.8 with a feasibility percentage of 95%. Teacher assessments showed an average score of 3.4 with 85%, while students gave an average score of 3.26 with 81.5%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Smart Arabic Book learning media is considered feasible for use in Arabic language learning for third-grade students at the elementary school/madrasah level (SD/MI). Implications/limitations of the study – The result of this research is a smart book entitled “Smart Arabic Book.”
Ihda A’yunil Khotimah, Nur Rohmi Copyright (c) 2026 Ibtidaiyah: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pendidikan Dasar Islam https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1081 Mon, 03 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0700 Problematika Guru Dalam Optimalisasi Media Pembelajaran IPAS Dikelas IV SDN 08 Lubuklinggau https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1113
Teacher problems are issues or problems experienced by teachers both when carrying out their duties at school and in educating, teaching, and guiding students while at school. This study aims to identify the problems teachers face in optimizing science learning media, how science learning media is used in fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 08 Lubuklinggau, and the supporting factors that influence these problems. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and verification. The subjects were the homeroom teacher, the principal, and fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 08 Lubuklinggau. The results indicate that teachers face problems in optimizing science learning media, indicating that their ability to utilize learning media is still inadequate, their creativity is insufficient to optimize media effectively, the media is still too boring, and they do not introduce new innovations in the learning process. The use of instructional media, however, was only used by a science teacher once. However, at that time, some students still struggled to understand what the teacher was conveying or teaching. Ultimately, the teacher never used instructional media again, always relying on printed textbooks and explaining the conclusions of the material in the textbook. Many factors also influenced the teacher's challenges, including the availability of resources in the form of printed textbooks, which are more practical because students have their own, comfortable and suitable classroom facilities, whiteboards in each classroom, and adequate teacher training. Efforts were made to plan, develop, and use instructional media. This was followed by an evaluation phase.
Meilida Eka Sari, Lilis Setyawati, Peti Fitri Anggriani Copyright (c) 2026 Ibtidaiyah: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pendidikan Dasar Islam https://e-journal.uin-al-azhaar.ac.id/index.php/ibtidaiyah/article/view/1113 Tue, 11 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0700
