EKSISTENSI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI SMA NEGERI 1 REJANG LEBONG

This article examines the existence of Islamic education at SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong, Curup Kota District, Rejang Lebong Regency. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study, in which the researcher served as the primary instrument. Source and method triangulation techniques were used to increase the validity of data obtained from the principal, teachers, and parents through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that Islamic education at this high school continues to exist through a strategy of internalizing Islamic values in learning and extracurricular activities, despite facing challenges such as declining student interest in religious activities. The leadership of the principal and the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers are important factors in maintaining the sustainability of Islamic education amidst ever-evolving social and technological dynamics.
