Abstract

This study aims to portray the cultivation of affection and empathy values in early childhood through daily play activities at RA Tunas Literasi Qur’an Kindergarten. The research employed a qualitative approach using interviews and classroom observations involving the principal and teachers (referred to as ummi). The findings reveal that playful activities such as color selection, ball games, and fine motor exercises serve as effective media for fostering compassion, empathy, and teamwork among children. Teachers act as role models by demonstrating kindness through greetings, smiles, and Islamic teachings based on hadith and moral guidance. Furthermore, collaboration between school and parents strengthens the continuity of affectionate and caring attitudes at home. The nurturing of these values is also reflected in everyday practices, such as helping friends, patiently reading together, and guiding children to recognize and respect others’ feelings.
